Hello Everybody,

sorry for the little break but the season was over and i turned back everything a little bit. After two weeks of doing not so much i am back into training again. My training is very hard at the moment. Today I wanted to make a mountain bike tour with a nice downhill, but my body is too tired today. If i would go for it there would be a chance that i use to much energy and my body gets sick after that. So it is a rest day today.
Next week i am doing a Test on a bike and they will find out my training heart frequenzes for the summer.
I will try to do a Videoblog soon so you can follow better how my summer training works,

But I could not realise it yet!

In the last days I went to Slowakia (Jasna) for a Freeride World Qualifier Contest. The first day went very good. I came first. On the second day I skied very well, took my last 10 meter cliff, landed good but my binding broke. Tooooooooo bad, I am very unlucky this season so far.

But I am positive again and skiing a lot.

Last weekend I was competing in a great Competition. We went to Nendaz. The goal was to win the Competition and go to the Verbier Xtreme. Because the winner gets a wild card to the event.
About 80 skier were skiing the Qualifikation and only 30 came into the finals. For me it went good, I was safe to come to the finals.
The final face looked great and we all knew that everybody will ski full on in the last run. And it came true.
A big show was going on. My run was good. As I planed. I skied fast, fluent, safe with good landings.

It came out that there were about 10 very good runs. Every run out of them could win. The result was that Björn Heregger came first and got Qualified for Verbier. Congrats to him, he really deserves it!
I came 8th. I did not reach my goal, but to win a Contest you also need a bit of luck for it. This year I havn’t had it so far. Offcourse I was disapointed for a little while. But then I thougth Freeriding is not only skiing contests. It is fun, but photos and filming are part of our life as well. It will come back to me again.

During the next days I will try to do some filming done. I hope for snow and a sunny periode following!

The last two days i have been in Ladis for a saftey Camp. We skied with 14 year old kids from school, and teached them how to deal with the backcountry and stay safe in this area. As the high ligth we staed for the nigth in a nice hut close to the ski area. The kids were very motivated and we have been very happy to ski with them. Also a big thanks to the Organizers Markus Neier and Stephan Skrobar. They did a great job. Here some pics of the two days.

That is it, it is 6am rigth now, i make my way to Salzburg now for a meeting. Tomorrow is a great day. We got a big dump, skiing is great and the sun is out tomorrow. We got a filmer and a photographer tomorrow. We ant to rock it tomorrow.

I came on the 6th rank. It was OK. I did a very nice run, very fluent, very stable with nice landings. I skied with bib number 4, so I was a kind of a test person. We expected very bad snow, because the wind was very strong on the day prior the Event. And so it was. The first 5 turns were terrible. But than it changed very quick, finally into perfekt snow. My line was good. For winning the Event my line was a bit to small. But that is how it is, next time i will go bigger.
In generell it was a great Event, thanks for organicing!

Helle everybody,
after days of skiing the Competitions should start tomorrow. I am driving to Fieberbrunn this morning. The wheather forecast says snow for today and at least a bit of sun for tomorow. That would be great. I was checking my line allready last week, so I know where to ski more or less. I am very motivated for this comp. There are very good riders on the startlist. Sverre L. is coming, and many more good Scandinavians. I try to give myselfe just positive pressure, my goal is to show my best skiing. Then I will see what the result says. It is a judging sport, so you never know. But i am very motivated, my skies are doing great, my body feels good, …. so we will see.
I try to get somebody filming the whole thing and i will put it on the net afterwards.
